Day 4 – Prague city hightlights & travel to Vienna. Tuesday 27 May 2008

Up early this morning for a walking tour of the Prague city centre with our same guide as last night whose name eludes me still.

Absolutely amazing (think I will be using that phrase quite a bit in this travel diary) architecture and just a sense of history (there is the second cliché in one sentence!) permeates this city as we walked around the historical centre.

One of the highlights had to be the Charles Bridge which afforded brilliant view of the river and well, just great views. Oh, I am pretty sure I spotted a porn actress and film crew just waiting by the side of the bridge, without meaning to got them in the background of a photograph so you can draw your own conclusions. I presented my hypothesis to most of the tour group who tended to agree and a few of the younger kiwi guys were upset I didnt point out the situation as it was happening!

After the tour we had free time for a while in the main square of Prague, which was great just to stroll around, people watch, snap pictures until we found a nice open bar to sit at and have a quick bite to eat and drink (that turned out quite expensive) before heading back to the meeting point and jumping back on the bus for the drive to Austria.

We didnt seem to take a direct motorway route, but wound our way through the countryside on a smaller road, which took us through some smaller villages and towns in the Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. Again no border controls as we passed through between Czech and Austria before we arrived later in the evening at Vienna.

Some people went off to a concert, whilst the rest of stayed behind and grabbed a traditional wiener schniztel at the hotel restaurant and went for a wander down the street. The weather has certainly warmed up the past few days.

So how did you know who this porn actress was Jase? Too much time 'researching' on the interweb or there was someone else there who was very knowledgeable about a great many things?
